This website intends to put attention on a fairly unknown African Mountain Region.
It wants to make people visit the area in the sense of a sustainable tourism.
Additionally it contains a short statement with the author’s opinion on the causes for Africa’s problems of today.
My decision for the website was made because of the numerous requests from my guides to promote the Chimanimani Mountains in my home area.
I learned to love the Chimanimani Mountains with its inhabitants during various tours.
Responsible tourism would be helpful for the people. The success of this type of tourism can be seen in many regions of the world.
Why not in the Chimanimani Mountains?
Where else in Africa can be found such a combination?
-
Mountains with regions of subtropical forestation, with elevated plains and exciting vegetation, with narrow valleys and fascinating waterfalls.
-
Consistently emerging and scattered huts and clearings of families, practising subsistence farming.
-
Direct contact to the local population, together with or without the guides.
-
Individual arranging of tours (length, Speed, route…), without group bonding. For a couple of days up to weeks.
In case of interest in further information or advice for a potential journey, you are welcome to contact me.
Naturally without any commercial background or intention.
